You hear of stories like this, but think it can never happen to you. . . One day, while I was working from my Austin home, I kept hearing faint tapping sounds upstairs. I had my headphones on most of the time, so to me the sound was intermittent, but later that afternoon I learned the ugly, awful truth. The sink upstairs had been left running all day with the stopper plugged in, completely flooding the upstairs bathroom and hallway. The water damage and flooding were so surreal, I just couldn’t wrap my head around the situation. I think I was in shock, but thankfully, I had the wherewithal to call SERVPRO® of Austin & Albert Lea.  

They asked me some questions and had a team of water restoration technicians out to assess and restore the damage in no time. They extracted the water and set up air blowers and movers to dry and dehumidify the remaining moisture. After everything was completely dried, they cleaned, sanitized, and deodorized the water-damaged areas. They cleaned the hallway carpets, too!
